CFA: End of the 1st Nine Weeks Tomorrow! Know Your Study Guide!
Don't want to stress you out, but tomorrow we have our ginormous End of the 1st Nine Weeks assessment. You will do great and there is nothing on the assessment you have not seen before. Please make sure you know and understand your study guide and make sure you review your notes on any past concepts that you feel unsure about. Thank you for your hard work...it will pay off!

Starting Order of Operations tomorrow.
Today we took a quiz on exponents, perfect squares, and integers. Tomorrow we start solving problems with multiple steps or operations. In order to be successful, you need to know your multiplication facts. The students will have a small quiz on Order of Operations on Friday and the big assessment will be next Tuesday.

What is PBIS?
PBIS is used to encourage positive behavior and establish an encouraging social climate in school and in the classroom. Students, teachers, and staff that are Respectful, Responsible, and Productive will help Freedom reach this goal. When you are caught being respectful, responsible, and productive at Freedom middle school you are rewarded with Pride Cards.

finish your Integer activity, put your name on it, and give it to Mr. Trapp. You may then visit the following sites in the order they are listed. If you are found on another site, you've lost your laptop!
You may not go to COOLMATH…so don’t ask!!!
Site1: Learn how to play SUDOKU
Read the
directions on how to play then play at least one game. You may play as many
games as your want.
Once you
finish your game raise your hand and teacher must give you the okay to go to
the next site.
Site 2: Compete against other students
online!
You are playing against
other students online. You may select any game you would like, but try to find
an open Public game.
Make sure you pick either multiplication or division and a 5th
or 6th grade level.
Please do not play against
1st, 2nd,3rd, or 4th graders : (

Spend as much time here as

All of you have worked so hard this year. Tonight, get a good night sleep and wake up knowing that you are prepared and will do your best. Your try your best and if you struggle with a question, use common sense. Does your answer make sense? If you can, draw pictures, look for key words, and take your time. Your Math 6 SOL is May 21st. Students should be studying his/her Math Reference packet (study guide) for at least 15 minutes a day. Quiz 2 on pg. 2 is May 13 or 14 and Quiz 3 is May 16 or 17. Today you also received last years 2013 SOL; look over it and bring it with you to class every day. Please come to class prepared with paper and pencil. Thank you

Yes there is homework this weekend!
Finish handout that you have been working on in class. Parents need to know that the students already had at least 25 minutes in class to work on this. Whatever they did not finish was for homework. Several students did more talking than working and this could explain why they have homework. Most students finished most, if not all, of the problems in class. Have a nice weekend!
