How to Subtract Mixed Numbers with Regrouping!

Sometimes when you subtract, the fraction that you are taking or subtracting from is too small. When this happens, you need to Regroup. In other words, you need to take one from the whole number and add it to your fraction. By doing this, you are making your fraction bigger. Click on the link below to watch a video showing how it's done!

You Have Your Unit Test Tomorrow!!!!!

On Friday the 2nd, you will have a Unit assessment that will cover exponents, perfect squares, powers of ten, order of operations, and integers. The assessment will be given via I/A on the computer and it is roughly 25 questions. The best way to prepare for this assessment is to not only know everything from your study guide, but to also get a good night sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and come prepared to class.

Message about Homework tonight!

Since we had an assessment today on Coordinate Plane, the students were allowed to work on his or her homework in class when they finished the assessment. So if your student does not have any homework, it was because they finished it in class today. I would still check it if possible.
Thank you

The Mean is also called, "The Balance Point"

  • Mean can be defined as the point on a number line where the data distribution is balanced. This means that the sum of the distances from the mean of all the points above the mean is equal to the sum of the distances of all the data points below the mean. This is the concept of mean as the balance point.
  • On a number line, this means the sum of all the points on the left side are equal to the sum of the points on the right side.
